Spot on mate, I find myself laughing out loud.
ive watched too many series shows recently , and started off watching this in the same mindset, then found myself asking What The Actual F ?? and laughing... then going back on it abit i realised what was going on...
its quite hard to tell its a comedy from the get go, like I say I can only compare it to the Office … I rememeber when that first came out I honestly didn't know whether it was a factual documentary or what ??!!
I love the soundtrack as well.

More satire really, but if you get into it, the comedy definitely flows.
Greed, business speak nonsense, and dysfunctional family relationships.
It's acted in a straight manner, but the dialogue and situations are comedy gold.
I'm sure some folks won't get it, but if you do, very rewarding.
The place we went for 1 last 1 the Goldfish Bowl... it never ended up being though.
'kin $580 a week some of the apartments in that building, wtf is minimum wage & trades wages these days ?
I think the metro newspaper (?.. kind of music & events freebie) was either in there or an office down the side, we were forever in it on nights out cos they kind of knew us & latched onto the fact that we went to every party that was being held, in fact they came round on xmas morning to pap us having VB breakfasts & followed us to Bondi.
It was 1 hell of a year we had in 94, partied non-stop & still managed to save loads for travelling, i think we were on 1 of the crests of an economic wave tbh cos the olympics had just been announced and the rents & property etc then started to rise. wages wise i was 5x better off than what id left here.
& tbh the wages for the same job here now are about the same as i got there 25 years ago.
$42 average for a fitter, just seen 1 that's $58 so percentage wise that rent is a better deal than over here in a lot of cases, i reckon I could get by on that.I dunno what the tradies pick up now. Labourers might be on $25 - $35 an hour Im guessing. ‘94... gees alots changed mate. You should get back down here!
When I came to Brisbane 9 yrs ago a fitter ( not fifo in the mines) was getting $30 / hr, not much better nine years on$42 average for a fitter, just seen 1 that's $58 so percentage wise that rent is a better deal than over here in a lot of cases, i reckon I could get by on that.
the likes of fitters wages will no doubt be skewed by the fact that a lot of those are employed in the mines. oh to be clocking back on at Garden Island, 200 yds from home, Harrys on the doorstep & the delights of the cross.
