TV Series

Has anyone out there got any recommendations for family series. My kids are 11/12 so we are getting to the point where we can all watch stuff together thats not just for younger kids. They loved the new lost in space but it’s hard finding anything else for us all to watch together?

I worked on Season 2. Currently on one with the Rake creator about the British Atomic tests at Maralinga in South Australia.

Heres one coming up that took six months of blood sweat and tears.

Proper makes me laugh Rake, liked the 1st ep of Les Norton & just about to watch the 2nd. The Fountain was just around the corner from where we were in Hughes St, the backpackers got converted just after we left but it was next door to The Wayside Chapel.

just seen that the wayside is a bit different now, this was our place no.25, directly behind us was The Metro Theatre which was shut down at the time but I've seen it in so many things that are 'period' with it being full on art deco. The alley that ran between the 2 buildings was a very dodgy place.

Still very dodgy. The Metro was home to George Miller from Mad Max as production offices for a time but I think they’ve moved out. The cross is gentrified now with the lock out laws. Not sure if you remember places like ‘The Goldfish Bowl’ but they’ve all gone now.

The place we went for 1 last 1 the Goldfish Bowl... it never ended up being though.
'kin $580 a week some of the apartments in that building, wtf is minimum wage & trades wages these days ?
I think the metro newspaper (?.. kind of music & events freebie) was either in there or an office down the side, we were forever in it on nights out cos they kind of knew us & latched onto the fact that we went to every party that was being held, in fact they came round on xmas morning to pap us having VB breakfasts & followed us to Bondi.
It was 1 hell of a year we had in 94, partied non-stop & still managed to save loads for travelling, i think we were on 1 of the crests of an economic wave tbh cos the olympics had just been announced and the rents & property etc then started to rise. wages wise i was 5x better off than what id left here.
& tbh the wages for the same job here now are about the same as i got there 25 years ago.
