TV Series

You’re missing the subtly of the writing mate.

As @Nymzee says it’s puberty.

Stick with it, as it ramps up from episode 4 onwards.

It all slowly builds towards the super full on grand finale in the last episode

I get that it's puberty, but I still find the writing a bit lacklustre though. It seems like they're relying a lot more on bad comedy now than before (classic lazy Hollywood@2019). Feels like they've run out of ideas and they overuse music way too much for me. At times it actually feels more like a mix of music videos and skits than an actual TV show. I can't actually believe it's still the same writers.

I will finish the show for sure, I just hope you're right about it ramping up from ep4. Only parts I find interesting after 2 eps are
Steve and Dustin decrypting the russian message and what's happening to Billy.

I never once struggled with the first two seasons, so I'm kinda surprised by this.

If you look at the starting credits different writers have written each episode, so maybe that’s what’s letting the continuity down ?

Stick with it though ;)

NSU GERMANY HISTORY X on netflix.
Three feature length episodes about neo nazi killers based on true events , subtitled but i found it really good .
First one is about how the east german kids get sucked into that life, and the path it sets them on.
Second one is about a turkish family coping with a murder of there father and events around his death and the aftermath.
bloody sad viewing the way it all plays out with the police ect
Third episode brings it all together and is an eye opener.
Not fast moving but i found it to be really interesting and entertaining, not to everybody's taste but though it was really good.

Starting watching City on the Hill with Kevin Bacon very good so far by Showtime...
It's new police drama with curruption elements in it - a good watch so far seen 2 episodes..... Only 5 made so far on USA TV......great reviews....

Just finished Stranger Things 3. So disappointed.

I loved season 1, absolutely loved it. And the "Thriller" trailer for season 2 is probably the greatest trailer ever made which had me absolutely buzzing for ST2.

Season 2 itself was pretty decent, not as good as the first, but it had set a very high bar IMO and probably had something to do with the fact that it could no longer rely on the whole retro theme as a new novelty factor.

But season 3? Man, I've no idea what the Duffer's were trying to do but it's all over the place. I'm all for suspension of disbelief in fiction, especially for something like this, but the absolute ineptness of the Russians made the whole season laughable. Actually gutted how the show's panned out.
