As @upthetoffees says, series one is a little slow, but sets the tone for series two, which is pretty full on.

Probably the worst series I've ever watched all the way through, there was enough in it that i felt i had to finish it but i really hated myself for it

I echo this completely. Thought it started okay, but just got more and more ridiculous as it went on.

I felt I had to finish it, but in the end they introduce so many random gangs and sub-gangs it's impossible to keep track of who you are meant to root for.

Just watched the whole first season. Really really good. A decent HBO show...something lacking recently

Came here to recommend this, the season 2 finale the other week was unreal. Bill Hader is brilliant.
