I watched the fourth episode of Chernobyl before and while I felt it was at a different pace to the rest, it’s portrayal of the post-disaster events is very poignant.

The human impact wasn't just the radiation but the decisions people had to take to help clean up the area.

Even if it’s crap? No one cared that Ghostbusters (2016) featured an all-female cast. They cared that it was absolute garbage, and the makers of the movie use ‘sexism’ as a defence against valid criticism.

Same with the new Star Wars trilogy. People don’t call Rey a Mary Sue because they’re sexist, they call her it because she’s a one-dimensional instant superhero in a story that has long-established that it takes years to become even a middling Jedi. If Star Wars fans had problems with strong female characters, Princess Leia would’ve turned them off 40 years ago.

Tons of people cared purely because it was an all-female cast. There were full blown meltdowns happening before the first trailer had even been released. I don't think you realise just how many angst ridden virgins are out there who HATE women being leads in anything.

PLENTY of people cared purely because it was an all-female cast... there were full blown meltdowns happening before the first trailer had even been released.

Captain Marvel was receiving a mountain of negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes before it was even released. Amazing that people were able to ascertain its quality so early.

Watched the first 4 episodes of Lucifer as it seems to be very highly rated and I’ve had a few recommend it.

Very ‘meh’ so far.
Is it worth sticking with? Or is it one of them where you either like it straight away or not at all?

I really enjoy it. Latest series was very good.
