TV Series

Try better call saul, its the offshoot of breaking bad, its very good

Ah yes. I did this too...

I have a lot of free time.

On Netflix, I urge you to watch Bloodline, and Orange Is The New Black. Both absolutely fantastic, Bloodline is your typical family legacy drama, and OITNB is the women's prison black-comedy drama.

Done the first series of Orange is the new Black. Liked it, but not enough to carry on with it

I'll give this Bloodline a go maybe

And what's this Mr Robot? On Netflix?

I think S2 of OITNB expands really well on the basic storyline, but I'd say if you weren't so bothered, you're unlikely to be massively swayed from that opinion.

Think I need a new one to watch

I've spent the best part of the last couple of months watching The Office U.S, all 190 odd episodes. Finding it a bit tough though after Michael Scott left...

Before that, I pretty much spent every minute watching either Breaking Bad or Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Even managed to go and visit the original Paddy's Pub in Phily a couple of months ago

I've got NetFlix and BT TV, think there's stuff on demand in there.

Depends what you are into, but would be a good time to watch Twin Peaks with a new series in 2017.

Show Me a Hero is a good mini-series, as is American Crime.

Fargo (which is back on CH4 in the next few weeks).

Turn is a cracking series based on a true story!;)

How did Beck go mate, i have it recorded.
Just watched it.
Thoughts :
You have to get used to the language and try and put out of your mind the Swedish chef off the Muppets.
Implausible plot, but that's par for the course nowadays.
Some nasty moments, and one aaaargh!
Worth watching
Will give it another go

On BBC4 tonight : Charles Wheeler's Wheeler on America. A social commentary on America, starting with the fall of Lyndon Johnson brought down by the Vietnam War.
A repeat series but nonetheless well worth watching.

For anyone over thirty This Is England '90 is a good watch

This is the best series so far. The writing is quality and it's a real trip down memory lane. The last episode was funny and tragic at the same time.

What I really like about it is as well as being a social comment, it captures the highs and lows of everyday life for normal people brilliantly. Plus there's an underlying darkness that runs through it, which is there even when the good times are rolling. Outstanding writing with a brilliant cast.

Just finished the first series of Narcos - a very good series imo a very good watch -will series two be a series too far maybe not grest acxting some of the duologue subtitled for reality based on a true story!
