TV Series

2nd series, there was no falling asleep in the 1st series

*Refuses flat out to switch to this 'season' business
Quite right, it's 'series' in our house.

The first series of TD was ace, gripping and made you impatient for the next episode.

The second series, well, we've still got the last two episodes recorded on Sky+, as yet unwatched - that's how much it hasn't drawn me in. It's felt like a chore sometimes, and I think that's down to the writing. Farrell and Vaughan have been good, the parts just weren't written well.

2nd series was bog average, one episode was like the professionals from boredom to action - poor imo!

Im in need of a new series to watch but I'm undecided what to go for..
Seen breaking bad, soa,Ray donavon, true detective, prison break, banshee, boardwalk empire (give up on that though). Might just wait for ballers..

Ballers, in the 2nd episode they used Låpsley's "Falling Short" on the soundtrack, for this only does the show deserve any credit.
Hope it brings her a whole new audience though.

Anyone not old enough to have seen Edge Of Darkness, then don't miss out. Watched it yet again this month. Very slow burning, moody and one of most compelling things ever seen. Every performance is amazing but Bob Peck and Joe Don Baker should stick in your mind for years. Anyone that enjoyed first series of True Detective I think woulf find the mood similar, and there is no wondering whether next series will be any good.

Hey Doug or anyone do you remember this series in the mid 1970,s "Oh No its Selwyn Froggit"
Bill Maynard deserved an Oscar playing the nutter it was a brilliant underrated comedy Bill Dean the famous Evertonian is in it and sang the title song in the early episodes all the series is on Y tube watches 9 already brilliant laugh!

Good God! Selwyn Froggit!! There's a blast from the past!! Used to love that when I was a wee nipper, although I had no idea what was goin' on :)

Brought back memories.......Reminds me that I must watch that on youtube - along with 'The gaffer'.
