Series 4 (Razor) is Sydney in the 20's, 2 women who run gangs called Kate Leigh who runs a 'Sly Grog' (beer being sold after 5pm) and 'Snow & Kitty Devine who runs knockin' shops and 'snow' which up until then had been available from dentists until they were persuaded to start using novacane.

series 5 (badness) is based on real events in Sydney from 2012

Series 6 (Squizzy) is in Melbourne from 1915-27 about a guy that appears in series 4.

Fat Tony & Co is based on Tony Mokbel from the one with Karl williams.

Underbelly NZ (the Land of the Long Green Cloud) is about events prior to Tale of 2 Cities (series 2).

Underbelly Files is 3 stand alone films
the first was Tell Them Lucifer was Here about the murder of Victorian police

the second Infiltration about a fella and his mrs in Griffith (where the weed was grown in series 2) that infiltrate the local mafia

and the third The Man Who Got Away tells the story of David McMillan who was a British born Australian drug smuggler and the only westerner in history to escape from Klong Prem prison in Bangkok.

looks like it's on Amazon prime . Happy days

Totally agree mate, have been banging on about Banshee to anyone who would listen it's one of, if not the best series I've ever watched, and the new series does not disappoint.
Yeah it's quality though I thought last nights episode wasn't great. It surprised me though I didn't think I'd like it .

I hate waiting a week for a new episode though

Just finished series 3 of Lilyhammer.

Series one is good, series 2 is standout, series 3 is a bit so so.

The budget had obviously gone up with the ratings, but it's quite disjointed and hops around a bit .

Still worth watching though.

Watching People Like Us - a bit old now, probably 10-15 years old. Brilliant, dry comedy though.

Human Remains is lined up next. Box-sets will be getting hammered for the next few months as I'm working abroad

Yes it was very very good remind me of the Sapronos episode when they got lost in the snow in the woods only better - series 1& 2 were ace!

People Like Us was quality. Chris Langham isn't it? There's been another series of the same name more recently, so its hard to find reference to the original on the net.

Yep, Chris Langham is the one behind the camera and narrating. I don't think I've ever found anything of his poor. Series 1 of The Thick Of It had him in the perfect role.

I've got series 2 of People Like Us with me, so will watch that after Human Remains.
