TV Series

Finished Get Shorty last night. First series in a long time that I was gutted it ended rather than thinking it was dragging. Only ever seen Chris O'Dowd in Moone Boy and he's superb playing a straight role. Would recommend.

Just finished Luke Cage season 2.

I strongly urge nobody to do the same, probably the biggest pile of tosh ive watched, only sat through it cos ive got nothing else to watch between the footy atm.

Without any spoilers, Is season 2 of Westworld worth watching? Really liked the first one but was kinda happy with the end left just the way it was without the story dragging on into stupidity.
A lot of these series should just be one season I always think. It’s what makes True Detective (1) the best one out there.

Hmmm.

It was well done and I know im a bit stupid, but honestly I found the whole thing utterly baffling from start to finish, it has enough good about it tho.

Be aware of the Westworld fanboys who will tell you its AMAZING.

Got about 4 episodes into the first season and bailed, id rather watch Everton.

Starting watch The Vietnam War by Ken Burns on Netflix. 18 hours split into 10 episodes. Interesting to see the utter naivety and black and white thinking that led to that starting.

Started watching Condor a new series seen the first two episodes looks promising- very good so far- CIA corruption....
I'd not heard of this. Just checked it out and it's based on 3 Days of the Condor - a Robert Redford/Faye Dunaway film from the mid-70's. I remember going to see it in town - I think it was at the Futurist on Lime St if you remember it. Anyway, I thought it was a really good film - a classic 70's conspiracy thriller. Bizarrely, the film was based on a book called 6 Days of the Condor - they must have lost 3 of the days while filming!!!

It does mention both them books/ films in the titles - yes I remember the Futurist picture house next to the Scala?
Ask @COYB25 as he was a regular at the Tatler dirty raincoat films at night and cartoons in the daytime for kidslol
I digress 4 episodes shown so far weekly worth a watch;)
