TV Series

Is it a proper comedy? What type of humour is it similar to?
It's not a traditional comedy no. It's a comedy drama.

Not quite sure what I would compare it to. The humour is basically just every day humour but the episodes themselves are all quite different so it changes. Some are quite heavy, some more funny, some pretty surreal. Some focus solely on one character, others on the ensemble.

I think it's worth giving a few episodes a go and see if you like the general feel of it. If you do carry on and you won't be disappointed. As i say I loved it and I think a few others on here have said similar.

Godless on Netflix has been mentioned before and having just finished it, I don’t think it’s had the praise it deserves.

It’s a masterpiece, there’s no other way to describe it.

The closest thing I’ve ever seen to a Cormac McCarthy novel being brought to life, even though it’s not based on one.

Atmospheric, achingly slow at times, yet incredibly brutal, incredibly well acted, beautifully filmed and cracking soundtrack.

It won’t be for everyone, with seven episodes and each episode is 1hr 10 mins long, but the last episode is stunning.

The young British actor, Jack O’Connel, who is one of the leads, is a star of the future.

If you like Westerns, they don’t come better than this.

Watching The 100 and The Expanse. 100 not as good as the previous season but Expanse just gets better and better.

Indeed got board of the 100, half way through season 2 and not watched it since. Horrified when Sci-Fi did not renew The Expanse couple of weeks back, however, Amazon have stepped in and rescued the show. The best Sci-Fi show for a very long time....

I started with the first episode and it seemed drawn-out but interesting so down on my list to watch (along with latest series of The Bridge, Handsmaid's Tale and Westworld).

Also caught the first episode of the final series (6) of The Americans, which over the years has become one of my favourite series despite going way under the radar (on ITV Encore and ITV4 in the UK, I think - start from the beginning if you haven't caught it before).

Last episode this Thursday /Friday in the USA Great series the Americans worth starting from series one if missed maybe series -5 should have been this series tbh , but great story great acting;)

Finished watching Collateral, full of political and social messages in every second dialogue but still good acting, especially Carey Mulligan was lovely, good camera work, effects and all. I liked it.
