also listened to all of both seasons of the serial podcast, so something similar to that maybe?

7 episodes deep into Season One of Dark Matter. Decent little premise.
6 people wake up from stasis on a spaceship with no memories of who they are or how they got there. Turns out they're all wanted criminals.

The Mist.

Really enjoyed the film (despite the infuriating ending) so was looking forward to how they flesh it out more, add more monsters for the tv series. 3 episodes in an there's some pointless side stories and the mist is filled with insects. Hopefully it'll pick up.

Castlevania.

It's only 4 x 25 episodes so it's more like a pilot than a season. It's brilliant though, quite gory and dark but funny too.
