Comparing quite favourably with the Attenborough film version so far - some excellent actors in it. My dad reckons he used to go to a babysitter around the corner from Christie during the time he was 'active'. Never checked out the dates or owt, but the ghoul in me likes to believe him!
Roth has obviously studied him, as he's almost become him !
He's often overlooked when people talk about modern greats, but he always commits fully to a role and I can't readily think of a bad performance. Fair enough, the Planet Of The Apes was gash, but he was good as the lead baddie.

Its very good mate, I watched 10minutes of it when it first came out, but the subtitles put me off.
It was a good thing tho, it meant I got to watch 2 seasons back to back.
finally giving homeland a whirl, it's okay, the jazz music is pissing me off though
if you don't mind subtitles, give gomarrah a go, it's ace

It's great until Season 3, then it falls off a massive cliff IMO. And yeah, the jazz is an acquired taste...!
I ordered one yesterday - they were on a 24 hour sale thing on Amazon - only £25. I think they are back up to £35 now, but still worth a shot I'd say.
Yep sent one to my daughter in Edinburgh she loves the tv series on it and films etc snapped it up for her with £10 off on Amazon she will have to skin it herself though!
You'd pay £25 or more for one new series on DVD, so it was a real bargain I thought. I'll set mine up for when the kids come for Xmas and probably listen to them argue about what to watch.
