Haha likewise mate. I gave it a shot but honestly just don't find it funny.only jibing not everyones cup of tea I was never a big fan of Rab c nesbitt watched it though as it was hard to understand him, but still game imo has broken those barriers!
on 2nd watch of the series, first time since 2009, two things really stand out: better understanding of the greater arc/Cylon intentions, and how essential a character Baltar is. What's interesting with Baltar (and with the character writing as a whole) is that different viewers will have wildly-varying sympathy levels for him. I'm on his side myself.
Top stuff. Can't wait for probably my favourite moment of the whole series: the climax of S3 with that music in the walls...
Awesome....I LOVE Swedish drama, Not heard of that one. Cheers for the recco.
Loved the New Caprica storyline. Just remembering how surprising the series could be. It never sentimentally held on to popular characters. Things changed, characters were put through the wringer, killed, maimed. Love Balthar, and feel that Callis' performance held the whole thing together. Despite his overwhelming flaws, I can't imagine anyone but the most heartless of observers could have felt anything but sorry for him. He was at the centre of it all, trying to survive and come to terms with his own guilt.
The music revelation was mental. I used to do night duty in the hospital, and it was shift work. So instead of going to bed on the two or three nights I was off, I just stayed up and watched BSG. The end of SE3 I leapt off the couch and almost woke the whole house up. I was dying for it to be morning so I could talk to someone about it!
Watched this last night on Netflix. Not really a series, more of a mini series but tragically sad in many many ways.
The newspapers and police were a disgrace. I honestly think the fact that he was eccentric saved him. God knows how I'd have coped in his situation. It was only his neighbours and tenants who stood by him...apart from one...the killer.Jason Watkins as Christopher Jeffries was superb.
What I found tragic was that Jeffries became the chief suspect for nothing more than the fact that he was eccentric. I believe he got a massive payout, but it ruined his life.
Finished it. Watchable but so overrated. Defo a hipsters choice.3 episodes of romanzo criminale left . It's grown on me a lot ( I thought it was good but not great ) but it's still not a patch on Gomorrah. Not even close
