Its a long time since i watched Southland tbh .
We binged The Shield & The Wire during covid .
No hesitation watching all 3 again
In my own time like
The Shield still has one of the all time great endings of any show.
Horrible to watch, but superbly wrapped up.
Its one of the 1st series I watched once "series" become a thing.
The Wire after that kept me at it right up to the 2022 Baltimore brilliant and true events series "We own this city"
Cant watch them all the time in case its overkill , but they are always on my list.
Theyve all spawned some great actors too , Chiklis , Goggins , Idris Elba , Domonic West , John Berthal etc. and many others.
Keep em coming.

Is it that good? I'm always been tempted but the dvd art work and the promo shots always put me off hahaha
The writing and casting is near perfect.
It perfectly blends the day to day drudge of " real " police work, with their home lives and personal problems.
Its that good mate well worth a watch
Look at the cast, a lot of them were relatively unknown and this was the show that gave them their platform to bigger things, particularly Ben McKenzie.
