Just finished watching True Detective 1 again. Third time I've done so and believe it gets better each time. The performance of Matthew McConaughey is spellbinding.

The famous five go to craggy island
What a mess
My wife loved it. For me, there was just too many coincidental episodes that resulted in finding clues and chance meetings etc - a weak method of screenplay imo and I struggle to stay engaged once it happens. I didn't really buy 'Dove' either.…we thought is was just about ok.
They got rid of that bald scientist chap because he wanted a pay rise. Replaced him with that shape-shifter.View attachment 259078
Crackin' restoration job from the now sadly defunct Network stable. It's not as bonkers and psychedelic as S1, they tried to take it in more of an action and less cerebral direction, still a lot of fun though.
Gonna have to give it another go one day, tried it twice and could never get past the 2nd episode ( Maybe I should start on the 3rd episode ).Thoroughly enjoying Justified on Disney (Yeah, I know it's old). Anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a contemporary western set pricipally in rural Kentucky. Timothy Olyphant plays a deputy Marshall sent back to work in the area he grew up in.
Based on an Elmore Leonard story (he's also executive producer), so lots of strong characters and good storylines.
Lots of stuff I just can't get into even though people who have very similar taste recommend strongly.Gonna have to give it another go one day, tried it twice and could never get past the 2nd episode ( Maybe I should start on the 3rd episode ).
Such a highly rated series I just don't know what I'm missing with it..
Certainly is nowSpringwatch is a disgrace. It's all about the presenters.
Scavengers reign
As an anime fan, this is quite basic. I love the premise but the execution…
