TV Series

Thought colony was crap Zat. Decent premise but the female lead is downright boring and the other actors and the plot isn't good enough to carry her.

Shes boring...was in prison break.

think its good but not great like the others mentioned

Having just finished a Marathon of All the episodes of Breaking Bad, and having previously done the same thing with The Wire, what would you recommend for my next Tellyathon ?

I remember hearing The Shield mentioned so that looks to be a contender, not so sure about Dexter ? Does it not all get a bit 'same same' like CSI ?

Anyway, answers on a Post please.

Well in South Liverpool we used to spend many happy hours somewhat delighted with the Anthony Andrews/Jeremy Irons starred Brideshead Revisited. It should still be available on VHS.

Currently watching Bloodline, starts well but a bit slow in the middle, waiting for the climax at the end of season 1.

Watched the first episode of Billions too and seems very good.

Netflix need to focus on quality, not quantity. So much of their 'own' stuff is utter dross.

True. I looked on there the other day and there was just too much choice for me. I'm happy to dedicate some time to watching a series but I find it pretty difficult when they're promoting ten new things at a time and all of them have the air of desperation and opportunism. Saying that, I'm a fan of House of Cards and Better Call Saul. Love was okay, too.

I liked that they staggered the release of Better Call Saul - as much as I can binge-watch something I like, it's a little unsatisfying to be done with an entire series in less than a week. It's actually a completely different viewing experience and it seems like a lot of shows are caught between storytelling in the traditional way and the emphasis on continuity that's necessary when writing for an audience who'll inhale an entire series over a weekend.

I didn't think I cared enough to write two paragraphs there.

I like a fair bit of it like Marco Polo, House of Cards, Bojack Horseman, Orange Is The New Black and Stranger Things. They've bought some promising stuff too like Wentworth and The Last Kingdom.

If you look at how much they have released, that's a very small amount. Love Bojack.
