Finished series one of Person of interest.

Worth watching if you haven't. Very individual episode based with the odd plot line flowing over head. Acton in them all and yeah, one you can pick up every now and again and the fella who plays reese the main character is very good in the role. Up to series 5 in real life so plenty to keep you going

First season isn't bad and I know what you mean, it's like 3 seasons in one. The second season, however, is meant to be terrible.

Stick with it, if it stays true to the books, the second season will be just padding for the third book / season, which is superb .

i say opening episode, it started with a previously intro so apparantly episode one isnt the start of the show

Just watched first episode of Bloodlines. Heard it was highly rated. 99% of the way through I'm thinking WTF, who are these people and why should I give a no.2. Then...

It's fantastic. Rattled through series 2 the week it came out, the pace is relentless. Deserves way more exposure imo.

It soon gathers pace stick with it, someone recommended Person of interest on here if you like action fast moving episodes it's great enjoying that thanks to this thread

Yes it is quite good for a Sci Fi channel show. The production value is good and the settings all look fairly realistic. It can be hard to follow at times as there are 3 interconnected storylines that appear to be independent of each other until the season comes to a close. There is the murder mystery aspect, the political maneuvering back on earth, the social aspects of life in the colonies, and the whole cold-war thing going on as well.

I really like it.
