Fair enough guys...i will say again though that unlike game of thrones this series actually states on the synopsis that its about one main character (from the beginning) and its made clear in the 1st episode that he isnt going to be "offed". Same as the 2nd name i gave...

Anyway for me its the best crime series since the wire and the shield so do give it a watch!!

(Also i have no clue how to add the spoiler thing!)

I haven't watch the show in years, so I apologise if this was covered in it, but why isn't Pike in "Dad's Army" conscripted to the real army?

I mean, I know he's dim witted, but he appears able bodied and young. Weren't the army just looking for pretty much anyone to bolster the ranks by the end of the war?

It's these kind of pointless things that I think about during my commute

I reckon some sort of medical grounds. His ma is always fussing and wiping his nose so I reckon she did a deal (gobble gobble) with the GP to get him signed off.

Polish drama about Polish border guards on the Polish / Ukraine border, part of the Walter Presents series.

Produced by HBO, superb scenery and looks like it's got potential to be on a par with Deutschland 83.

However all further episodes only on All 4 catchup !

There was a very good pilot on Channel 4 last night - The Border.

Produced by HBO, superb scenery and looks like it's got potential to be on a par with Deutschland 83.

However all further episodes only on All 4 catchup !

This All4 business is massively annoying. The All4 app doesn't allow screen mirroring, and my smart tv doesn't have an All4 app, so it means hooking up the laptop via the HDMI cable. A massive pain when you then have no remote control other than your mouse.

I just fail to see what C4 are thinking with this. It's way too premature to assume everyone has seamless access to online content via their tv, so why are they do intent on pushing folk in that direction?

Had every intention of continuing with Locked Up, then hey! New series of Orange Is The New Black on Netflix. Y'know, on that app I DO have on my telly.

Yep, it's really annoying. 4 on Demand streaming quality is pretty bad too. Shame as it's a good idea but it has not been executed well at all.

In one episode he receives a letter telling him he is to be conscripted, but after a medical is found to have an extremely rare blood group. Consequently, because the army hasn't any blood stocks of his type he is discharged. He does though get a fish supper out of Mainwaring.
