TV Series

Is that any good? Not fussed on spoilers if it's good I'll watch it regardless but the mrs wants to watch it and she doesn't half watch some utter dross.
It was spoils when they decided to make the 3rd series, first two were rest then to make the main character into a James Bond figure utter rediculous!

Last whites of the East End

What the he'll am I watching. It's like a cross between a ukip conference and a Bernard Manning/Roy Chubby brown gig.

My god some orange skinned lady has just referenced Eastenders as their cultural moral compass.

Just watched this I live just down the road from them. Tbh they are the type of people that make this area grim. I suspect they don't have any mates because they are such idiots. The immigrant guys moaning about immigrants was a bit weird. People have moved on because the industries aren't here. They talk about the good old days of the docks and factories, they aren't closed due to immigration people go where the work is

How do you rate compared to the wire? I have saved the last 2 episodes of gomorrah as i was speed watching breaking bad (will watch after final 5 episodes).

For me its up there with the shield as best ever crime series.

I really rate The Wire. Gomorrah is high up there for me but compared to The Wire it doesn't show enough about the different groups within the whole crime system structure. The Wire was great because it showed the scope of how big crime can corrupt the city from the street kids, to the soldiers, to the police units, to the politicians, and eventually the journalists as well. The Wire had a lot more time to do that.

Overall, I found this season to be a little weaker than the firat because things were just kicking off non-stop. I found Gennaro to be the most interesting character to watch because he had more character development than Ciro or Pietro. The one scene early on where he shows the Hondurans how to blackmail the General was smart and really well done.

It is a great show but it lacked the complexity of The Wire or the character development in the shield. There are reasons for that because the show is accurately depicting the violently changing Napoli underworld and the whole nature of the Gomorrah being more fractured and less organized than the Sicilian Mafia.

I still loved it though.

Dunno what to think of Mr Robot.

I'm with you on this one. I watched the first episode and it just felt a bit muted to me. I think it is a slow-burner but I just couldn't get into it and the main fella's monotonous voice was bothering me.

My girlfriend finished the series and loved it and is eagerly anticipating the second one this summer. I can't motivate myself to watch it, I tried again and got to about episode 3.

First episode of the new series of OITNB, rather more humorous than previous series, and no real pointers just yet as to the general plot of the series, but a positive start nonetheless.

Finally got through Marseille. Pretty poor unfortunately, It was like a French soap opera. So cheesy and cliche.

Started 2nd season of American Crime and that's going well.
