TV Series

ABSOLUTELY WEIRD!!!!!!!

Two nights ago I started watching Deadwood for the first time!!!! I am up to episode 5 (so far, two episodes a night between getting the kids in bed and going to bed myself)!!!

Very much enjoying it!

I was going to watch that but then saw it had been cancelled and that the plot wasnt closed off....is it quite a typical western or something extra?

Thinking to start on either vinyl or daredevil but i dont like the premise of daredevil as losing my sight is one of my own greatest fears....

Hello mate how are you today.

Started watching deadwood, still on series 1. i'm enjoying it so far. Finished watching stag tonight.

Absolutely brilliant series. Though I have to warn you: season 3 is just a massive build-up for season 4, which never got released due to the show getting cancelled.

ABSOLUTELY WEIRD!!!!!!!

Deadwood is my favourite ever series. Although I think The Wire is probably the best ever, I have such a huge osft spot for Deadwood - I adore it. The language is shakespearean, the soliloquys are brilliant, particularly E.B cleaning blood from his hotel floor. Al Swearengen is probably the greatest anti-hero ever. Axed too short, but absolutely up there with the best.

enough episodes to make it worth while... towards the end I think the main creative force had 'issues' and they dropped it.

Didn't enjoy this week's Vinyl. Has been great so far but the godawful Bowie 'tribute' had me scrambling for the remote control mute button.

Point of note (and not really a spoiler) but they had that lad singing in a way no-one sang in the seventies. Proper butchering the scales, giving it the full X-factor treatment. Hideous.

One recommendation, Gotham.

Stick with it, first half of season one is a bit over the place but then it comes really good and entertaining.

and for comic enthusiasts, it isn't canon, so it doesn't necessarily follow the correct paths for characters. Good characters can be bad, visa versa, villans arent predictable etc.

The Knick is mine, nothing like it on TV in terms of the way it's film. The using of lighting (or lack of it) is superb, with a great Cliff Martinez soundtrack. So atmospheric.

Series 2 is brilliant - you don't get a run of 21 episodes with a second series in the States unless it's really good.

Its my favourite thing on at the mo by a mile .

Series 3 of the BBC Police drama - Line of Duty starts on BBC2 tonight at 9pm.

I'm not normally a big fan of British police dramas, but this is good. Follows officers from the Mets Complaints dept as they investigate stuff done by regular Coppers. Gritty and the lines become quite blurred which makes for good viewing. Plus a stellar cast too.

What do people think of vinyl?

Binged watchee 5 episodes just now, i know its a music show but theres too much cutting to singing and not enough expansion of the plot.

It didn't fail to deliver yet again.
