Heard Oz is a complete rip off these days, would be a shame cos i loved the place. Thailand is great. What about South America? My bird travelled round few parts of it and it sounds unreal.
 

When I was in Thailand we went to this huge lake with big limestone rock formations poking up every so often. They take you out on wee boats for miles and miles and then you stay in these little floating huts. They catch and cook fish for your dinner. You can stay as long as you want, swim in the lake, drink beer and just completely chill out. Id recommend doing it

One of the bars ignored the 11pm curfew in the town so there was still a bit of nightlife. Opened till 5 one night but the others the police closed it down at 1.

ah that's a shame sounded like a decent place from what i read but i guess it couldn't of lasted forever if it was getting to over the top.

SE Asia is still cheap but not the places you say.

Was only planning on doing Japan & China for a bout 10-14 nights each most of the time we would be travelling through SE Asia hoping to stop over in new zealand as well before australia find some work.

Is India worth going I've heard mixed reviews from a few people? Also how did you stay out there so long did you find work easy?

There's always fruit picking work, cashies on the dodgy building sites / cleaning, that sort of stuff.

Hostels are always cheap as chips though mate. Just depends on how many bodies in the room.
 
India's the part of asia you wanna go mate. Thailand and places like that are going to ****. Went india a few years back, absolutely unreal.
