all over wiggins is a cert yet froome must be disgusted coming 2nd and not allowed go to try win toiur de france for his own sake and tour ambitions he has to move from sky next year imo hes a better climber than wiggins

Froome has shown no indication that he can make an attack really stick. He's got a good kick on him for sure but always gets pulled back. I'd like to see him have a go at the Vuelta with a decent Sky team and see him up against Contador and Andy Schleck. If he holds his own there then he could well get the leadership at next years Tour.

Froome only just signed a new deal. He said in interview last Sunday that he was prepared to sign that deal only on the proviso that if a Grand Tour suited him more than Wiggins then he'd be given team leadership.

There was an interview on BBC site (linked from that doping report) about Wiggins saying Froome would win the TdF in the future and suggested he would be happy to play the support role when necessary.

Saw that.

It's all way more complicated than I thought. I thought it was just a bunch of blokes having a big race on bikes, the tactics and strategies are unbelievable.

Got alot more into it this year.

The last big mountain stage over and Wiggins puts another 18 seconds into Nibali. All over now. He'll win this race by over three minutes. Fantastic achievement.

I really, really hopw BW is clean.

this is going past where i work tomorrow, not really arsed about it like but i'll go and have a look plus I won't be able to get home anyway going to be gridlock!

3 minutes ? Wait till the time trial on saturday, Wiggins will put another couple of minutes into him.

Firstly it is fantastic that barring a major upset we're going to have a British 1/2 in the GC, but it feels a bit bitter sweet that Froome hasn't been given his head on the climbs. Wiggins may well have been the best of the two but it's hard to really know.

He could have annhilated Wiggins in the Alps and Pyrenees. No question in my mind.

Agree with you, Froom is looking good but its a team game, when hes going for the yellow in the future dont expect him to be all alone hammering everyone in the mountains, he will need support. Wiggins only yesterday was left to catch Nibali on his own. Wiggins is also a far superior flat and time trial rider, expect wiggins to beat him by 4-5 mins by the end of the tour. Froom is by no means the finished article.

As quoted above, there isn't really any evidence in races that he can win stages by really big margins, but if that is the case why not let him chase down Valverde and get 20 seconds on Wiggins?

Just seemed a bit silly, and you can bet the image of Wiggins smiling as he crossed the line whilst Froome was shagged won't go down all that well.

Aside from those two though, the other contenders have been blooming awful this year. Evans was way off the pace. VDB never had any legs. Menchov et al were awful, and Nibali wasn't up to much either (and Basso - good god what has happened to him?!?!). That's before getting onto Frank.

Makes you wonder if a lot of those guys are just riding clean now and are showing their true colours.

Glad to see you agree with me Mr Wayne.

Kick drugs out of sport and ban cycling NOW.

Ud see just as many footballers get banned if they were tested as much as cyclists, conveniently as a recent panorama has shown, drug taking by footballers is conveniently swept under the carpet.
