Really can't help thinking Froome is on drugs with how he is performing in this tour. Hope I am wrong and he isn't
He may be, I mean you'd be a fool to bet against it, but it's defo a different era now. I think someone mentioned up thread that his power output is not in the same street as those from the Armstrong era. When Froome stomped all over the field up the Ventoux, even that was a very high cadence, low gear attack. Check out some of the hill attacks in the glory days of un-testable epo use - Festina riders steaming off the front, hammering the big ring with no ****s being given. It seems like there is more of a level playing field nowadays.

Pissing me off this constant talk about Froome on drugs as though it's some kind of given. Joking is of course to be expected, but when you get those little uneducated bastards who seem to think that sports like football aren't plagued with drugs there is nothing more annoying.

If he stopped doping mate we wouldn't have to keep mentioning it though?

Ok, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and carry out a pop quiz to determine whether he's on drugs.

Question 1 - Is he a cyclist? Yes

Question 2 - Is he racing in the tour de France? - Yes

That concludes the quiz and the evidence is damning, he's on drugs.

.....give Froome the credit he deserves unless there is evidence to the contrary. The lad appears to be giving it everything and doesn't deserve the suspicion.

He's defo defo pumped on something. I can so tell. It will all come out in time so Bungs and I will be vindicated.

Cycling shouldn't even be a sport the drug fuelled mules.

They are athletes.

A lot of pressure to succeed it must be psychologically devastating for them not to perform when everyone expects a lot. Drugs are always the shortcut/or downfall.

Like most on here, I have only recently taken an interest in cycling since we got brill at it, so dont know much really.

Thing is, the Brits came from nowhere really, and now seem to dominate the TDF and track cycling, which if you were French, or Belgium, just to take 2 countries who are steeped in the sport, would raise a few eyebrows there.

Personally, I would bet a lot of cash that they, Sky, are clean. But can understand the doubters.

Froome cheating there?

From the live feed - "I'm not sure what he wanted, but he's not going to get it now, because his team car isn't allowed to help him out. Ah, Richie Porte gets some gels from the team car and hands them to Froome, who was obviously about to get the "bonk" - that's an illegal re-feed, but a clever one. Presumably it's Porte who'll be punished for it, not Froome, who now has a couple of gels to help him re-energise. There's a technical term for what just went on there. That term is "cheating".

So it's not just the drugs he's taking, he's also finding new imaginative ways to cheat, superb stuff.

Shocking that! Froome should get a time penalty as well.
