What do all the coloured jerseys represent?

Great win for Evans. He might be a narky little bugger, but the best rider won the Tour. Well over a minute ahead after that...and that, indeed, is that.

I just hope now we dont get any reports later in the year saying he was doping.

I think Cadel is clean, and that's arguably been to his detriment down the years when others have beaten him.

The time trial from Andy was really poor, even his start was all wrong. Evans got away smoothly and up to speed in a few seconds, sat down and got in a rhythm. After 200 meters Andy was still out of the saddle trying to accelerate. Looked to me like he lost several seconds in the first couple of hundred meters alone. He did other stupid things like freewheeling down a descent trying to get into a more aerodynamic position - knock knock Andy, the time trial position is about as aero as anything human-shaped is going to get on a bike, sit normally and pedal the f**king thing. Physiologically also, freewheeling is harmful to your muscles in the middle of a big effort. I'd have thought his coaches would have worked with him on all this over the last couple of years, but clearly not.

None of this would have saved it for him of course, he just didn't have the strength, but it's unbelievable to watch one of the world's top professionals doing things that I'd give out to a 16 year old over. It's like watching a Premier League footballer misplace a ten-yard pass.

I hope so, I really do.

Anyway, did anyone catch the funniest moment of this years tour? Halfway up Alpe d'Huez yesterday and Contador had a scrawled banner shoved in his face: "Special Offer - Spanish Beef".

He didn't take too kindly to the guy dressed as a doctor running alongside him either. To be fair to him though, the crazy rules have allowed him to compete. He clearly had the Giro in his legs still.

With Voekler keeping up for so long in the mountains I think it was indicative of a cleaner race. He's widely regarded as one of the cleaner riders around and it was great for the Tour to go off with only one incident of that nature.

All we need now is for Cav to round things off with a win tomorrow.
