Tour de France 2011

The massive amounts of drugs they all take provides the entertainment.

They are basically high all the time, you can even see them going "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" when they go down a mountain.

The only true competitive nature of it is seeing how you can pump chemicals into your blood without getting caught.

Its been discredited time and time again as a sport as they're literally all smacked off their tits.

Being a fan of the sport means you condone habitual drug taking and men in Lycra who shave their legs.

I HEART CYCLING.

Don't get me wrong, I know it's a difficult sport, but I just can't see the entertainment factor in it at all.

Not so much the toughness of it, although it is incredibly tough, but if you try riding for a bit it's rare for someone not to get hooked.

The first week of a grand tour is generally not all that exciting. The mountains are generally when things happen. Even then though many find the spring classics to be more entertaining, a view I kinda agree with, and the Giro is without doubt better than the Tour (imo).

Not gonna be everyones cuppa tea though. Bit like how some folks find test match cricket great, others not.

The dope the Russki got caught on was the same stuff Shane Warne got caught stuffing up his ar$e pipe in 2003. Turns out this diuretic is used to mask the presence of other more serious drugs.

No offence... I know some of you like this sport but... I honestly can't for the life of me see how. Massive drug usage means the results are always in doubt, and the actual thing itself you can't watch for more than 10 minutes without realising your spending time watching the same skinny blokes in skintight spandex riding a bike for a few miles followed by cars.

But fair do - each to their own! Just can't get into this at all!

I honestly didn't give a rat's rear end about cycling either...

...until I started riding.

Now:

1) I love watching
2) I have a HUGE appreciation for what those riders do and what kind of shape they're in.
3) I'm starting to learn who the riders and teams are.

Lots of fun.

GET OUT OF HERE YOU MELT-RIDDEN TROLLS FFS

I don't ride, because people look well gay in those outfits; but don't knock the Tour. It's ace.

Renshaw. So good. So so good. If Cav is going to Sky I hope he goes with him.

Great stuff there by Cuddles. Andy Schleck looks like he's getting his arse handed him on a plate.

It's now or never for Evans. He looks like he has the measure of the Schlecks and Contador. He's home and dry if he can survive Thursday and Friday in the high Alps. I just think Contador has something he'll unleash in the next few days...it'll have to be huge though if he's to claw back almost three minutes.

Evans will hammer them on the TT but with the Schlecks duking it out with Contador and Sanchez they might nullify each other and so gift it to the Aussie. Been great viewing so far, and expecting loads of attacks today.
