Tough...

It's more common than you think and nobody seemed that bothered about it as long as the other one works. They told my daughter that it is about 1 in 4000 pregnancies and, similar to your son, people have gone through their whole lives without knowing.

Let that be a bit of calming info for anyone who read my post and thinks being a donor, of this type, will definitely cause you long-term harm... 👍 💙

I honestly don’t know what to say , I wish I did .

I can only say it really hope you find the donor you need and the strength to continue being the person you obviously are .

Tough read but I’m sure much much tougher to write .

One of those man moments where you're pushing back on emotion so get the heavy chest vibes. I was telling Danny in DM's earlier that I had to take another Zoom call just earlier, this time with the social worker assigned to my team (due to the general yearly total checkup they perform; this month is hectic) and lost it a little with her emotionally when she asked me about things, so a little stress was released.

I like people who give proper hugs none of that namby pamby business, either hug properly or not at all I say. 💙

You must get frustrated as I've been led to believe that's the standard UK hug, for fear of social awkwardness. Maybe it's different 'round Merseyside; y'all are some peculiar cats but that's the pot calling the kettle black...probably another reason Everton chose me 30+ years so. Plus I don't have much experience with the female side of the Scouse spectrum.

I'd take any opportunity to be able to hug Roy Keane around his peers for the social awkwardness factor; want to see the self-styled hard man squirm while he tried to play it cool.

"Deez 'kin Americans, coming over here, buying our football clubs, giving hugs...football's gone. No, nooo I'm not bein' funny, I'm tellin' ya' Wrighty...!"

A good news story...the friend who introduced me to going to the match, back in 1972, developed severe kidney issues as a result of diabetes (a bit of a worry as I have that as well). Whilst waiting for a donor his wife was tested and found to be a match. Last year she donated one of her kidneys to him, and the last thing I heard all was well with both of them (makes note, contact him to check). As previously stated on the thread a healthy person can live perfectly well on just the one kidney. Hopefully you can find one soon so you can get back to living the life you want (witin reason of course).
