If they did go down some of the talk of ‘they’d come straight back up’ isn’t a guarantee. Almost every player will want out. Perhaps some of the academy players will stay but for sure they won’t be keeping Romero Van der Ven Solanke etc.

It would be a completely new team and new manager. Yes they’d have a war chest of money from the player sales and the parachute payments but you’re effectively starting from zero in the championship. Even Wolves have started planning for it with their January transfers. Spurs would be looking at a complete squad build and manager change in one summer.

TNT couldn't get enough of this fella last night.

Absolutely brilliant - his expression didn't flicker all night.

Didn't know Ken Bates was a Spurs fan... or still alive, for that matter.

I genuinely think they’ll go now. Their fans have gone scorched earth and unlike us aren’t able to isolate their disdain for their owners and support their team. There is just abject apathy amongst their supporters and they are also the worst form side in the division, without a win in 2026 and a pathetic home record going back to the start of last season. A dreadful combination and not want you want when you’re scrapping for your life.

There’s next to no chance they’ll get anything against Liverpool, which means they have 8 games to save themselves and could well be in the relegation places by the time the next round of fixtures comes round.

Their only saving grace is that there are four teams battling to avoid one spot and they will probably roll the dice on another manager after they get spanked by Atletico and the RS.

Got to say I’m incredibly invested in their relegation, not because I particularly dislike Spurs or anything but I think it’s the kind of monumental shake up the league needs.
