Tottenham Hotspur

Blackburn were relegated 4 years after winning the league. They were a huge club at that time. I meet far more West Ham fans when I visit London than spurs fans.
I don’t think the Blackburn part really washes to be honest

Blackburn lost their manager for 95/96 and had a limp title defence, before losing Shearer for 96/97, after which relegation was just a matter of time

They were a club that bought the league, and they almost botched that too and needed help from West Ham to do it. They weren’t seen as this big club that shockingly dropped

There’d been a consistent decline since 1995 that logically led to a relegation

Will have to agree to disagree on that one. Would be the equivalent of liverpool going down now

I can't argue with anecdotal evidence like that. It must be true.

But If we are going on anecdotal evidence I will point out that WHU had 70k at their EC victory parade compared to our 225k at our EL parade.

For what it’s worth.
Probably cos West Ham fans weren’t that arsed about winning one of the tin pot euro cups. More self awareness than most.

Just saying from experience. This is a forum for discussion after all.

Now I know you are taking the piss. WHU weren't bothered about winning the ECL? Brilliant.

I imagine EFC would opt out of competing in any Tin Pot European trophies right?

It just shows the bizarre thinking, if you've got a replacement sound, but if you are bringing in a pretty awful interim manager it's weird
Im guessing they want Poch back, but he's not available til after the world cup. So they picked up someone who has lots of experience with short term jobs in Europe assuming a new manager bounce would happen and take them clear but that looks to have backfired massively.
