We went down, rebuilt in a single season under Burkinshaw, got promoted and then won 2 FA cups and the UEFA cup in the next 5 years.
Happy for you mate, well done

With all due respect, that’s complete rubbish. The FA cup remains a big trophy and was even bigger pre 90’s.I love the way "major trophies" is used as a fig leaf to hide the naked truth that the only two trophies that really matter are the League Championship and European Cup. Sure, the FA Cup and the minor Euro pots were prestigious once upon a time, but being a good cup side was never a substitute for being the best side...something that was proven in the League Championship and then, having won it, in the European Cup.
The Kenwright Decline is the reason why fans of other clubs can legitimately imagine their two-time title winners are of the same stature as nine-time champions Everton. We've been in hibernation for 35 years. Let's see if there is actually any ambition at the club this summer...

That is the spurs fanbase you are talking about thereHaving 'Who's the Bigger Club' competitions amongst ourselves in 2026.
When the sport is owned by state investment funds and venture capital firms, and is a glorified social media follower contest.
Seems a bit trite and pointless to me.
When you've only won the league twice and been relegated regularly, sure the FA Cup is big trophy... Or a "major trophy" as you like to depict it in your cute graphics. With all due respect, that’s complete rubbish. The FA cup remains a big trophy and was even bigger pre 90’s.
Doing the double in 61 and then - the first to do so that century and then to become the first British club to win a European trophy are true barometers - every other club wanted in on the action after we had done both.

The FA Cup was indeed a prestigious trophy up to the late 90s. Spurs is a fine club, a big club. Historic. Your two examples are indeed great achievements. But you were never consistently a top club. This is why you have fewer league titles than Huddersfield.
we were a top club in the early 60’s - achieving 2 things no surviving club ever had, winning the double and breaking Britains European trophies duck. When you've only won the league twice and been relegated regularly, sure the FA Cup is big trophy... We’re Everton bigger than Spurs pre war titles- yes. Are Everton bigger than Spurs currently and in balance over both clubs history - no chance. A couple of flashes in the pan in the 30’s and 80’s then 1 FA cup in 40 years. I see the clubs equally and I would imagine most neutral fans would also.
I’m definitely getting a bit flabby in the pectoral region, I would guess I’m bordering a C cupI may have missed it but surely any 'My club is bigger than your club' needs a penis size comparison (to be inclusive I will say we could compare breast size also).
Do they come in colour nowadays? For any Everton fans under 40, the metal object in front is called a trophy
