Without opening up the can, here, there's a lack of objectivity.
(excuse the fact that the VAR cameras were out of sync at the time - not sure if they do it intentionally).
There's a clear discrepancy as to whether the ball hits Mina on the top of his arm, or whether it hits dele's hand. Even in 0.25 speed you just can't see, because the ball goes into a crowd of players and hits somewhere between the back of Mina's shoulder area and Dele's hand.
Obvious VAR last season was about 'clear and obvious', and even months later you can't really define it as that (unless, as I say, there's a bit of bias going on).

More on topic, I think it's really difficult to even think about judging what will happen in the game until transfer business is sewn up. I'm sure both clubs will be looking to make further changes depending on what happens in the general market, and that can really spice things up.
I'm generally a bit concerned that Everton have the same problems the Liverpool side of 3 years ago, in that the defence is still a bit shaky looking and unpredictable, whilst all the money is being put into attack.
For perspective, Everton have between 16 and 20 (depending on how you want to cut it) players in midfield and attack to choose from, for what must be a maximum of 6 places
(beyond keeping them happy, you need to get some consistency rather than just mixing and rotating, so it'll be interest to see if that crop are cut down at all.).
Meanwhile, there are 8 defenders for four positions, including Branthwaite and Nkounkou (who are still very inexperienced).
