The whole theory does depend on a hypothetical Brendan Rodgers being a competent manager who would make logical decisions, so its not exactly watertight.

TBH mate i don't even think it's stubborn. It was a bad buy in the first place but if you're playing a certain way then you need the players who will fit that system. Same reason why i wouldn't expect Arsenal to buy a player like Carroll.

Carroll is a decent player in the right team but he's nothing special.

it's why rodgers succeeded at swansea but failed at teams like reading and liverpool. he has done better at the ****e than i thought i would if i'm being totally honest, suppose i didn't really think about january signings to fit the PHILOSOPHEE. it was all set up for him at swansea, right players, right way of playing. lets just say liverpool didn't have that

He's still young and will get much better. The amount of the transfer fee put way too much pressure on him. Hell that transfer fee is alot of pressure for a world class player in his prime.
