Paqueta in the mud.

Only booking of the game, for a lunge on John McGinn - left it quite late to get the card, but it was pretty close to when Villa made their first changes.

Henrique is even more interesting, joined the game as a sub on the 58th minute, got his booking on the 89th minute.

Must have been a significant amount to make someone sit up and take notice.

None of you seen those gambling slips shared widely on whatsapp of the guy with 25 quid doubles on bookings? 50 notes down 120 grand back. (iirc) beauty of cash won is you don't have to declare it. (iirc)

Paqueta and Luiz Henrique were also booked on the same day another week - 21st May

This guy got 10 year ban for the same offence
It’s not just the potential ban either, Toney broke FA rules but if the allegations are true about Paqueta it’s also conspiracy to commit fraud so a criminal matter as well as a disciplinary one.

What makes it even worse is he’s gone about it with a tackle rather than, say, kicking the ball away. Not a terrible challenge and McGinn bounces back up, but you never know how the player falls or if they have their studs planted etc. It’s deliberately endangering an opponent.

You could even go as far as to call it assault if it’s in furtherance of another crime rather than anything to do with sporting action. You couldn’t do that to someone in the street.

Proving its not a coincidence is the difficult part but if they can he’s in an awful lot of trouble.

Plymouth vs Southampton on Sky currently. Che Adams starting for Southampton.

Saints with loads of the ball 8 mins in but not really done anything with it yet. Adams has had like two touches lol having to come deep to get involved so far.

West Ham fans saying why eould he wait until 70th minute in that game to get a yellow but apparently he had committed 3 fouls before the booking so probably trying to get a soft one earlier then thought this will do it!
