They'll take City all the way this season. It's nearly half a season gone, most of us are saying they're performing averagely, that Salah hasn't clicked yet, that Firmino isn't playing well, yet they're unbeaten and grinding out win after win. All hopes on City that they don't bottle it.

Bournemouth were doing fine, matching them, up till the keeper howler and offside tap in.

..and we laugh about the decisions they get, but game after game this season they are making a huge difference. If VAR was implemented, this game would currently be 0-0. City are fighting on a number of fronts, Klopp is being canny with a more defensively secure approach this season and it’s working.
