I wish you were right but have a look at the criteria again. As far as I can work out, if it finished 2-1 to the RS then they would qualify via rule 3. If it finished 1-0 then both teams would be equal in rules 1-5 but the RS would qualify via rule 6. I'd be happy to be wrong though.
  1. Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  2. Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  3. Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  4. Away goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  5. Goal difference in all group matches;
  6. Goals scored in all group matches;
  7. Away goals scored in all group matches;
  8. Wins in all group matches;
  9. Away wins in all group matches;
  10. Disciplinary points (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points);
  11. UEFA club coefficient.

Mark.....a 2-1 RS win would see Napoli through under Rule 4.

....er....I think.

If it was 2-1 then both teams will have scored 2 goals for rule 3, it’d go to rule 4 and Napoli would win on away goals. You’re right about the 1-0 though

What if Napoli win and Red Star Win.

That would be hilarious.

They get spanked over the xmas period in the league too and out of the FA cup to a lower league midlands club at the pit as per.

...don’t do it to yourself, fella, that story never has a happy ending.

The important thing is, Napoli and PSG needed to win and they did. Napoli go into the last game with a decent chance. Saying that, Napoli are 5-1 to win that game. Liverpool are 15/2 to win the group which is a popular bet according to Oddschecker.

Assuming PSG win, they need either a 1 nil win or if napoli score, they need a 2 goals win, ie 3-1, 4-2 etc.

Any win is enough if PSG don't win.

...it’s a very good point, Tim, although i’m not sure it’s entirely accurate. If PSG draw there could be three teams on 9 points. I presume PSG would be above the Reds on head-to-Head.

Yes PSG would win any hypothetical head to head because they are level at 4-4 but they scored 2 away goals at Anfield.
