250m buys you depth

Something we simply don't have

Rodgers is a god though

see you're being silly, literally no one has said he's a god or he's done an amazing job.

all i said was that i think he's a better manager than martinez despite the fact he's a horrendous melt.

i've seen you on the official everton match threads screwing about martinezs tactics, it's not like I'm comparing Rodgers to Mourinho !

They lost one of the best players in the world and there top striker. Its safe to say them two must of scored 90% of their goals last year And they are still challenging on two fronts and for a champions league place. I hope you're right and he does get sacked because I'm starting to get bad vibes about brentie as I don't think he's the bluffer some would have us believe.

Dear sweet jesus

Just out #jft96ynwaaldoismyfavxxxx at the end of your posts and be done with it

If things stay as they are....should Paul Lambert be sacked tonight?....

Not been given alot of money to spend in fairness, but they've been poor pretty much his whole time there, and are now getting dangerously close to relegation...
Of course he should. Imagine being Villa fan - I'd hang myself with this kind of football every week.

12 goals scored in 25 games - it's almost impossible

Sturridge/Markovic/Sterling/Lallana/Courtino would walk into our side
They certainly have the better attacking players however Lukaku, Barkley, Mirallas and Lennon aren't that far off them.

Our problem remains that we haven't yet either played them all and those players aren't playing to their ability. We still perceiver with workman like players like Naismith and over the hill players like Barry. The amount of times our possession broke down because of those two is unreal.

We've played both Liverpool (home and away) and Spurs (away) and in all of those games we weren't out played or out classed. Our issue has been more due to confidence and the reliance on players that aren't good enough when there are other options.

You spend your entire time on this and many threads putting the boot into Martinez , fair enough mate . But DON'T ever use that nobhead across the park as a bat to beat Everton FC or our manager.

Bad vibes?!

He's an utter fraud: blew the PL with one hand on the trophy, never won a bean in football.

I'd stop worrying on that score if I were you.

I don't put the boot into him that much, i don't even post in the everton forum much apart from match day threads... there are far more critical posters than myself.

I think you're all being a touch over dramatic tbh, almost rawk like response from some posters.

Why does it have to be either he is brilliant or awful?

Imo Rodgers has his strengths (tactical flexibility, trust in youth, generally attacking style of play) but also some quite bad weaknesses (overspending on signings, arrogance that can turn players/press against him, poor defensive record) but having a large budget helps mask some of the flaws.
