the £250m thing is the weakest excuse about given who they spent it on. In terms of talent their squad isn't that much better than ours, ours was just cheaper.

I would say we have pretty even squads man for man but they are a better team at the moment, why are they the better team ?

Its not an excuse though is it?

You spend enough money and eventually you will pick up good players

We have the likes of McGeady/Naismith and Lennon

They have Courtino/Lallana/Markovic

All three of those would waltz into our forward line

6 wins in 8 games and two draws....and still 7th.

It's just not going to happen for them this season. They won't sustain a run like this and there's far too any competitive teams ahead of them.

I don't think they will finish 4th but i think Rodgers is doing considerably better job ON THE PITCH than Martinez is.

I still have concerns mate. Hope you are right. God, what a crap season when I am thankful that we have made the "no one gives a damn zone". Martinez has got a lot of making up to do for this next season.

Also, I never root for Spurs and their jammy last minute goals. The first time I actually want them to do it?...Next game, when I want them to lose, they'll score a winner in the 90th minute.

Right but forgetting money...

Liverpool are more or less where you'd expect them to be with the squad they currently have - rodgers doing decent job on the pitch (maybe not in terms of transfers)

We on the other hand are miles off where we should be with our squad - martinez not doing such a decent job on the pitch.

West Ham and Southampton are doing fine having not spent millions...

so if they finished 4th over a season and we finish 17th then we are as good as them because we got two 0-0s with them this season.

there is some serious clutching at straws going on.

We went on a horrible run. We where actually ahead of them 2 and half months ago. It's a transitional season for us while we find our best team/formation. We're getting there.

Too many better teams ahead of them to get CL. Arsenal have qualified for about 170 seasons in a row now. If Utd don't get the other spot it will be Southampton. We saw against us that they're not all that by a long shot.
