That's not something we ever experienced. If there is one hill we will die on, it's that our raison d'etre is to be the club with the most top-flight seasons. We have declined massively as a major club over the last 35 years, but our birthright is to be top flight. And I think, delusional as that is, it sustained us when we should have given up. Because, God knows, we had plenty reason to.

Probably lad. Suppose Spurs should be quite similar in that sense though, generations ago when they were last relegated. I reckon there fans will turn up in upcoming games when they’re needed, for similar reasons.

Although I would say that it’s not seasons like this one for Spurs (or your ones) that are really soul destroying. It’s the seasons where you’re bottom by a mile, like we had with our 15 point season, or Wolves first half of the season. Or Southampton as well.
