Today’s Football 25/26 Season

New manager bounce wearing off for United, probably go back to normal service now losing head scratchers and spending money they don’t have on players they don’t actually want
Seems quite clear what is happening here -

Officials have been told to try and assist United as best they can. That penalty and red card against Palace, now the red card for simulation vs Newcastle.

If cards were given for simulation - then Fernandes would be bathed in yellows and reds.

But no, let's give it to the Newcastle chap who is on a yellow already, before the first half ends.

Something stinks here - Let's get United into next seasons Champions League.

Can't believe it, everyone loved us when it was Wenger because it was beautiful and we weren't a threat.

Now apparently it's on us to entertain the masses.

Nah we're doing what we have to do to win this Title.

Go look at our CL games when teams actually come to play.

1-0 to the Arsenal, George Graham is back in town.
The worst team to win the L in living memory .

But you won't care and neither would we.

Just saw the Iwobi handball from the West ham corner, definitely hit his arm, Iwobi definitely moved towards the ball and definite penalty for me. The standard of refereeing, var officiating of any sort has been flushed down the toilet, I have never saw it so bad. How could that not been given as a pen, that's just one example.

The offside calls in that villa game were infuriating

Watkins and pedro essentially both online with the last man

One goal given one not, because of an arm being offside

Changed the whole course of the game

Offside rule was invented to stop goal hanging, not this nonsense

Honestly don’t mind Arsenal winning the league this season (would much prefer it to City) but I would absolutely love it if we went their place and beat them - ideally breaking the record for time wasting in the process

Whatever happened to " Clear and obvious "
Var is truly awful and I don't care what people say, the clubs badge is looked at for sure. The ref/ var officials just know if Man United / Arsenal or Liverpool are given a bad call, especially if it costs them the game, they know they will be in the spotlight for ages and in deep trouble. If it's Everton, Fulham, Villa etc, it will soon blow over.

Has it really got worse? I know it's fashionable to say. But honestly I think it's just the fact that every game we have a trillion replays and an entire fanbase waiting to be up in arms every decision that goes against you. Nobody mentions the times VAR/ Ref gets the decision right either.

I think there's some genuinely terrible refs (Jarrod Gillet) and it's not great when things go wrong, but we were in the Championship and League One recently and the standard was truly diabolical without VAR and part time refs etc. I reckon if you were to look back at games in the 2000's they were probably jsut as bad like - we just look back with nostalgia.

I'd love to see things improve going forward, hopefully with the increased use of video technology in the future (and AI eventually?) we'll get there.
