Indeed.
Michael Thomas also.

looking at arsenal's remaining fixtures, you would think tonight's game against southampton at home is probably their best chance of closing down the goal difference of 7 goals between them and man city
don't forget city will have 2 games in hands and if they win both by 1 goal margins then the goal different is 9 goals
this game, wolves at home and forest away are their best chances of trying to close that gap
i'd say they need to win by 4 or 5 tonight to have a chance of doing it

That is a very simplistic way to look at it. You are not taking into consideration the injuries Utd got which kept key players out whilst highlighting the lack of depth in their squad outside of their 1st eleven. If you 'have a match in the bag' and then crash out, you have bottled it.

It is similar to why many on here are saying that Everton will be much better when Doucoure and Onana are back, the discourse being that without these players Everton is a significantly weaker team. This is why the last few performances were so bad and why people believe Everton has a chance of avoiding relegation. That is not Everton 'bottling it' in the last few games, that is Everton having to play with a midfield that is not good enough.
Different argument.Who got injured between being 2-0 up in the first leg and losing 5-2 overall? Just Varane in the first leg and Martinez? As much as people meme about Maguire him and Lindelof are more than good enough to just see it through.
You're talking like it's completely not a bottle job because they had to use two semi-pro defenders.
Different argument.
Maguire and Lindelof are not even comparable to Martinez and Varane.
They were their centre back pairing LOL. If you can't see how much of a drop in quality that is and how much weaker United are with Maguire and Lindelof that's fine, we obviously view the game differently. That's not a different argument at all.
You said they're not bottle jobs because of injuries, they had to swap out 2 players to injuries.
