Real-Chelsea 3rd year in the row, Benfica-Inter, City-Bayern, Napoli-Milan.

Could be 2 Italian clubs in semis after many, many years, good draw for Napoli (someone i would like to win)

Great draw for Napoli, pretty much couldn't have gone any better for them. Chelsea on the other hand not so much. Both of these things make me happy.

Real got a lot of problems this year in Spanish league, but it seems when they hear Champions League anthem they just turn on super powers he he.
But is old, super experienced team that won it all many, many times, so knockout games suits them much better than league, experience really matters here, and likes of Modric, Kroos, Benzema sure got full bags of that.

Real should fairly easily beat Chelsea and given they are home first leg it could effectively all be over then.

Some good ties there apart from Inter Benfica. Would have preferred a Milan derby to give that game a bit of edge. Huge opportunity for Napoli to win the whole thing after they’ve effectively done the Liverpool draw of Frankfurt AC Milan, Inter/Benfica to the final.

City Bayern over two legs could be brilliant

I checked Liverpools route to the final last year and I was shocked - genuinely didn’t play a team that I would consider to be Top 20 in Europe until the Final

In their CL runs the only decent opposition that they’ve got past which I give them credit for is City in 17/18.

The Madrid teams have put them out every time

They met Bayern and Barca at probably their lowest ebbs whilst they’ve been in the CL recently, especially Bayern under Kovac were very poor. Barca should probably have never even been 3 up but were not a top side by any stretch having been put out by Roma the year earlier.

Everyone else they’ve played has been second tier. Porto numerous times, Benfica, Roma, Spurs, Villareal, Inter Milan. Reads like a europa league group.

6 seasons of CL football in a row, three finals in that time and not once have they played any of PSG, Chelsea, Juventus, or a strong Bayern in the knockouts. Meanwhile for Real Madrid every single season it’s PSG Chelsea City Bayern Liverpool all the time multiple times.

Mate you’ve watched all their CL knockout matches over the last 6 seasons? I simply refuse to give them the time of day

West Ham getting AZ should hopefully see them off (if they see off Gent/AZ do Anderlecht).

City getting the tough side of the draw again, but the draw sat up very nicely for Napoli there.

Any ex-Pat United fans, based in Spain will be absolutely buzzing, 3 times in 3 months
