‘Tyler has worked as a coach for a number of teams managed by Alan Dowson. In 2005, he joined Walton & Hersham, and has since worked with Dowson at Kingstonian and Hampton & Richmond Borough. In May 2018, he followed Dowson to National League club Woking, a team he has supported since he was young.’

From his Wiki page

Yes I know, but it's like me claiming I support Kirkby Town FC - technically true, would support them as the local club, but 'support' is contextual isn't it?

Nice little cover story to hide behind professionally to avoid accusations of bias, but he's 100% a Kopite.

Come off it Tubes, he practically orgasmed over United goals against them in the past, he’s done it for Chelsea goals, City goals, even ourselves. It’s how he is

There's load of examples, but just for the most clear one, go back and listen to Crystanbul, his commentary for that, despite it being a game of high drama and consequence, and it's akin to speaking at a wake - he's nearly in tears.

As said, loads of examples and yes, I've seen his fake reactions to others, like Martials first goal, but there's a difference with Liverpool - there's an emotional investment in his voice.

We'll never know for sure as he keeps himself professionally vague enough to get away with it, but I'd bet substantial money on him being a Liverpool fan.

Barry Davies commentary during the 95 FA Cup final was quite bizarre.

I dug the game out and watched it not too long ago and was reminded of him saying 'and Parkinson has a shooting chance'....whilst he was about 30 yards from our own goal.

Also he went 'Brooking' as someone received the ball as though good old Trevor was on the pitch!

Good commentator overall though.

Desperate for a Liv victory there, it’s so brazen

I think that’s just your hatred of them causing you to hear things that aren’t there. I’ve listened to his commentaries over the last 30 years and even older ones going back to the 70s and 80s, I’ve heard him get over excited over the most basic stuff, take the 4-4 Derby, had way more enthusiasm over Cottee’s two goals than any of the 4 the RS scored that night
