I just think your idea that there is no favourable cup ties is mad.

We've bottled games over the years no doubt but we've also largely had some of the toughest draws possible as well compared to other sides.

Our CL qualifier was against a side that finished CL semi finalists when european clubs were at their peak strength - other sides get kin Malmo CF.

Remember the former forum favourite Michael Laudrup at Swansea getting Bradford in a final. Getting peak Chelsea who had just mauled the best Barca of all time over 2 legs without our three best players is probably similar though. If only Moyes had ‘gone for it’ a bit more, whatever that means.
