We need to put ourselves in the position to get favourable draws more often. Lukaku scoring a pen agaisnt United would have given us a final v Palace.

Too often though when we do get on a decent run there’s one of the best teams in Europe standing in the way either City or Chelsea in absolute top form.

I mean the other season City played championship teams and then had Watford in the FA cup final.

That's 0% down to luck and 100% down us not having what it takes in these moments, which is honestly a shame, but it's where we're currently at - not winners, no winners mentality, no cutting edge, only jellyfish.

To your point, that Chelsea team mauled Barca 0:0 and 1:1 and lost on away goals. Also finished 3rd.
