I know its cool and hip to slag Everton off all the time on here but the reality is we never get an easy draw in the latter rounds.

RS have had both Cardiff and a relegation fighting WHU in cup finals

City have had Watford and Wigan

Arsenal have had Birmingham

Utd have had Crystal Palace

Wigan had Millwall in the semi's

Watford had Wolves

A fully fit Everton side playing with confidence isn't as gash as people make us oot to be otherwise we wouldn't have beat Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd and Leicester this season on top of Liverpool and Spurs last season.

Injuries to key players like DCL, Mina etc consistently let us down as our spine is awful without them.

Remember the former forum favourite Michael Laudrup at Swansea getting Bradford in a final. Getting peak Chelsea who had just mauled the best Barca of all time over 2 legs without our three best players is probably similar though. If only Moyes had ‘gone for it’ a bit more, whatever that means. Maybe then Lampard Drogba Terry Malouda Cole Cech wouldn’t have turned up and would have just been overawed by Osman Neville and Hibbert giving it a darn good go.

But the point is it's on neutral ground, we're just unlucky not to get crap teams on those!!!1

We need to put ourselves in the position to get favourable draws more often. Lukaku scoring a pen agaisnt United would have given us a final v Palace.

Too often though when we do get on a decent run there’s one of the best teams in Europe standing in the way either City or Chelsea in absolute top form.

I mean the other season City played championship teams and then had Watford in the FA cup final.
