Howard has been a great keeper for our club, so too Was Nigel Martyn, Ted Sagar, Gordon West and the greatest goalkeeper we have ever seen In Neville Southall.......but they all get old and they all have a sell by date......it's sad but it always happens.......
Howard never a great keeper - A good keeper only a good servant but two + years ago he should have been replaced by Butland for 4 million. Dithering Dave cost us that!

Tim Howard is likely to bring down the curtain on 10 years as Everton’s goalkeeper and head back to America this summer.

The 36-year-old has been identified by MLS side Colorado Rapids as the man they want to be their new No 1.

And sources in America say they have been encouraged to firm up their interest as Howard ponders whether he needs a new challenge towards the end of his career, and believe Everton would let him have a free transfer as a reward for his long service.

During the course of this campaign there have several on field verbal altercations between Howard and sections of the Everton crowd. That might prove the catalyst for a sour end to what has been a distinguished career for Howard

Donald Trump will be president by the time Howard finally sods off to back to the States. He'll have to get rid of the beard otherwise they won't let him through customs.
Given his previous he would probably get a cushy number in immigration or defence under a Trump administration.

Last Saturday’s Gold Cup final between the United States and Mexico got awkwardly political after a post-game rant by U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard.

Following his team’s 4-2 thrashing in front of a largely pro-Mexican sell-out crowd at the Rose Bowl, Howard blasted tournament officials for allowing the awards presentation to be done in Spanish.

“CONCACAF should be ashamed of themselves. I think it was a (expletive) disgrace that the entire post-match ceremony was in Spanish. You can bet your ass if we were in Mexico City it wouldn’t be all in English,” Howard said, according to The Sporting News.

Emcee Fernado Fiore, of Spanish-language TV channel Univision, spoke Spanish throughout the ceremony, but interspersed English on certain occasions, including the handing out of silver medals to the U.S. squad.

This infuriated Howard, who also criticized CONCACAF’s failed attempt to gather the American players for a team picture after their heartbreaking loss.

“It never ceases to amaze me, all that stuff,” he said.

Asked for comment by ESPN, CONCACAF spokesperson Ben Spencer declined to make a statement on behalf of the federation.

Meanwhile, U.S. coach Bob Bradley took a much more diplomatic approach to the situation, specifically the fact that his team had to deal with a hostile crowd despite playing on home soil.

“Obviously … the support that Mexico has on the night like tonight makes it a home game for them,” Bradley told the Los Angeles Times. "It's part of something we have to deal with on the night.”
