I thought he was class at the World Cup his passion made him perform out of his skin, he is a must for me to return after he retires and drill his passion of the club into the younger players

Yep, and I reckon he might overtake Thompson as top goalscorer this season too if he stays injury free. Just a shame it won't be for Glory

Always thought he had a chance of being a good poacher in Europe, maybe he's found his level but something about the cleverness of his runs and the ability to lose his marker makes me think he could have done more. He's no Alitdore like.

Don't worry, I'm stoked Smeltz left us, last 2 and a half years of him have been atrocious, would kill to have a fit Smeltz but his been injured so much,

Aye this is true, picked up a few recently hasn't he? Might have lost half a yard too. He doesn't start for NZ anymore.

Thompson just proved that if you have pace in the A League, you score lots. And lots.

Would love to see Timmy in 1 last season down here, simply so I could watch him at Wellington and try and shake the legend's hand.

Doesn't he part own one of the Sydney teams? Be mixed feelings if he played against Glory

Not sure at all. Yeah be tough for yourself, I'm not really attached to the Phoenix like that, I'm pretty sure my love for Tim would conquer all lol

He has, we probably wouldn't have let him go if we thought he would stay fit. But with the clown Lowe in charge, anything is possible

Not as fervant as I used to be in the early days, but 4-3 to glory with a Timmy hatrick would be fine :-)
