So even if Wigan does not sell all of their tickets to the match tomorrow, Everton supporters are only allowed to buy the tickets offered by Everton? How in the hell do they enforce that? Maybe I have it all wrong?

Sorry, I'll ask a better question. Can you buy a ticket from a source other than Everton FC and go to the Wigan match. In other words, could you buy a ticket from a Wigan season ticket holder and sit in his seat for the game? I've just read comments over the past couple of years about people looking for away tickets and thought it sounded difficult to get them. As you can see from my post I'm American, not trying to get tickets or anything. Just curious about how it all worked. Sorry for the confusion.

Theres nothing stopping you or me from buying a ticket from Wigan.

You will be sitting with the Wigan fans tho, which considering its Wigan shouldnt be a major problem.

But it dulls your match day experience and I think its actually against some law or something.

Basically if Everton scored and you jumped up and gave it the big 1, its likely you would get battered and then chucked out, more likely at certain teams, but possible everywhere.

Ahhh, Ok. Thanks for the answer. I was really confused. Maybe one day I'll get to go to an away match (or home for that matter). Might be worth getting kicked out just to raise a little hell in the home section.

If you choose this option we can give you an intensive wool course so you fit right in and won't be detected.

Let us know if you need this. Lesson 1 - Although it's spelt The DW Stadium it's pronounced "There Derr double U sterdium".

It has a lot to do with demand. The 'away' allocation is all to do with percentages and the size of the ground. Wigan is one of the smallest capacity-wise. There's nothing to stop any away supporter buying a ticket from the home club. There are away supporters (in very small numbers) at Goodison amidst the home supporters all the time. But of course you would have to behave circumspectly.

It's "Pal" in pie land. On no account ask for a pastie at half time.

Half the people that go watching Wigan support other teams anyway, loads I know go because of the price, the kids section against local teams is half full of local kids with free tickets that support the away team, they make no qualms about the fact that they will kick you out though.
