Everton Alumni Thomas Gravesen

Only met two Everton players who have left a bad impression on me ,him and Dia Davies,

Mine was a real shocker and even today people question it, as his is such a nice fella...Joe Parkinson was not very nice to me when I met him at Bellfield, I was about 13.

Met him again years after at Trafford Centre, he was a gent.

He must have had bad news or bad day when I first met him, now HE was better than Graveson

Fist waving, charging around leaving massive gaps in midfield etc.

Iirc he scored a couple in a 3-1 win away against Palace in the 04/05 season which set us off on a good run. We'd been tanked first game.

You knew within five minutes how he was going to play for the rest of the game :

If he gave the ball away 3/4 times in that five mins, he`d have a stainker.
If he didn`t, he`d boss the game.

I`d say on the whole the two of them balanced each other out.

I can`t remember him having a consistent run where he was excellent though, although it was a long time ago !

Think all action. Literally legging it everywhere at full pelt and kicking anything that moved.

Him and Carsley in my head were bald versions of these two:

Think I've read this Osman quote as well.
I believe he looked after Carsley's flat when he went home to the wife n kids. Had a taste for very cheap cars on their last legs. Ended up shacked up with some Danish glamour model. Invested his career earnings with some firm that turned it into £100M, then went to vegas and threw half of it away. There's a story him and Tofting got in trouble with the cops for battering a load of bouncers. Was the best player on the pitch, Nov 16th 2003. (England 2 - Denmark 3). Could play a bit, and stood out in midfield because Carsley's covering and Cahill working back out of possession bought TG time on the ball in the middle of the park. When he wasn't afforded this his game deserted him. Knew how to stick a foot in. Reckon there's a biography of his antics that's a best seller that doesn't mention football once.
