Yes, that's right. Me making an observation is the reason we've spent £16M out of £25M brought in.

Wait a minute, you were complaining we only made 22m from Lescott last week yet you've manipulated it up to 25m to make a bigger deficit and have a moan.
You're transparent Mr K, but we love you.

Not my calculation. David Moyes: 'just short of £25M' he told Radio Merseyside.

Moan schmoan.

Thats what Dave.

Politician I tells thee.

= a complete and utter disaster.

Four out and two in (and only those two after the season started). £16M of the £25M brought in from Lescott accounted for. No wonder Moyes is making statements like this:

"With the position Everton are in, I think we should be entitled to go out and spend the cash....We want a club which keeps aiming to progress, so I'm going to push the board really hard not just to spend the Joleon money but to spend more. You can't be at the top of the league and want to be at the top of the league and not invest in the team. The team needs investment."

Just over 27 hours for this lot to prove that the sale of Lescott wasn't to provide Moyes with a few quid with the rest going to service the debt.

But Dave, we're not earning a profit as a club, we don't have a sugar daddy willing to bank roll any transfers and the current climate (not to mention our existing finances) make taking on additional debt a very risky business. Where exactly did you expect money for transfers to come from?

This isn't something that's sneaked up on us. We're not earning money. Probably with the exception of Man Utd, no clubs earn the kind of money that would enable a summer of spending to meet fans expectations (ie circa £20m).

So it seems to me the only option we have as a club is to sell it to AN Shiek or sell high, buy low.

Which would you prefer?
