Saw an interesting debate on twitter. Some argue that Balotelli is a class above Rooney because of his impressive display at international level. Others claim that the only reason Balloteli had a better Euro12 is because he,unlike Rooney,is playing in a good team.

This got me thinking. What's harder?

1) Standing out in a team that is filled with exceptional players (like Messi at Barcelona)

or

2) Being the only exceptional player in a team filled with average footballers and being expected to lead them to glory everytime you step on the pitch(i.e Maradona at Napoli).
